Where does freedom begin?

With the tragedy that  just recently happened in Paris, I want to talk about freedom. I will be the first to say that jokes concerning religion is a very sensitive subject. However, it is no secret that Christians, Jews and Muslims all take turns getting made fun of. Nobody has the right to make fun of your religion, but everyone has the right to say and express their opinions.

The truth is, there is always going to be an opinion out there in the world that you do not agree with. There is always going to be slander to religion, comments towards a belief, discrimination against a community. The part that I am not okay with personally, is everyone standing up for Islam, when in fact, Islam itself is a religion of violence.

People over in the West are saying things like if Blacks muder, they are criminals, if Muslims murder, they are terrorists, and if Whites murder, they are seen as mentally unstable. Clearly, the West's opinion is that Islam is being unfairly dsicriminated against. But the thing is, however, that blowing up people around you because of your religion, is nothing to be deemed as mentally unstable.

Suicide bombers are nothing new the Muslim community. It is just now that the West is coming to know what it means to share a community with Muslims.

Being in a world where you are free to speak as you believe, and you are not hurting anybody, you would think that it's ok to speak your opinions. Muslims once again prove that they are a religion of violence by killing those journalists, and their editor in chief.

Yes, to a certain extent, Charlie Hebdo pushed some boundaries. But at the same time, if you are going to immigrate to a country where there is freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and freedom of speech, you have to accept that sometimes people will say things that you do not agree with. I am so happy that the newspaper went on to sell three million copies, because the West will not be silenced and become a theocracy like EGYPT!
