Mr. Abdullah Jimida, head of the Ethiopian parliament, said during his visit to Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, that the relationship between the Coptic church and the Ethiopian church are well appreciated by the Ethiopians.
He explained that his country doesn’t want to harm Egypt, but rather to develop and overcome poverty through development projects like the Progress Dam.
Jimida, who visits Cairo for five days, said that the Nile River must unite us and not divide us. Development of Ethiopia will benefit Egypt as well.
