Coptic Orthodox Chruch issued a statement today to mourn Abba Michael, Bishop of Assiut, who was known as chief of bishops of the Coptic Church.
The late bishop died today at 93 years old, after he spent more than 62 years as bishop since he was ordained in 1946.
