Abba Abram, bishop of Fayoum, said that the state promised to protect facilities of St. Macarius monastery in Wadi Rayan, and that the new road project will not affect the life in the monastery.
Abba Abram added that the Church doesn’t stand against the state and the public interests.
The state had promised to preserve the monastery and its monks.
