x-minister travel ban holds on
Egyptian airports, seaports and border crossings were Monday notified in writing of a decree banning a former minister of housing from travel and adding him to the arrival watch list until the nation’s Chief Prosecution completes questioning him over alleged bribery and influence peddling.

"A statement from the Prosecutor General to ban Mohamed Ibrahim Suleiman from travel was faxed to us," a Cairo Airport official said.
He added that the statement was directed to all exits from Egypt.
For four consecutive days, the Public Funds Prosecution quizzed Suleiman, an ex-minister of housing for 12 years, on reports filed against him by 47 lawmakers, who accuse him of favouring his relatives and businessmen by allocating plots of land for them in new and coastal cities at low prices.
There was no decision to refer the former minister to trial or drop charges against him.
