Counselor Hisham Genina, head of the Central Auditing Authority, said on Monday that ousted President Mohamed Morsi’s salary during one year was nearly 800,000 EGP.
And, it was clear to the authority that he gave himself an illegal annual bonus and incentives, Genina said, while adding that the auditing authority did great supervisory work during Morsi’s rule.
Morsi hired a watchmaker and a tailor as national experts who had no relevant experience, he added, and their salaries were 2,500 EGP and 4,828 EGP per month.
Genina said large amounts of money were also given to Morsi’s allies during his travels abroad, and the former president also hired people with criminal records.
