Ibn Khaldun Center will monitor voting procedures on referendum abroad

CAIRO: Ibn Khaldun Center for Development Studies is going to monitor the constitution referendum process in France, U.S., and Saudi Arabia, Ibn Khaldun executive director Dalia Zeyada told Youm7 on Monday

Zeyada said former mistakes being repeated during the constitution referendum is possible since the voting mechanism has not changed yet.

She said Egyptian embassies should be stricter during the voting procedures to deal strictly any violators, such as group voting where groups people entering one station poll to vote, since according to law each voter must enter the station alone.

She said they should put ballot boxes within embassies and consulates headquarters and not resort to electronic mail for voting to eliminate the problem of group voting.
