Civil movements call for Friday protest 'For the Love of Egypt'

A number of civil political movements and parties on Monday called for a million-man protest Friday called "For the Love of Egypt." The call came during a conference at a hotel attended by representatives of liberal, leftist and social movements as well as Sufi and Coptic movements. The representatives said the goal of the protests was to support their wish for a civil state in which all Egyptians are equal, regardless of gender or religion.
