Egyptian Ministry of Supply has established a 20-hour hotline (19280) to receive the Egyptian’s complaints about the shortages of basic food in the local markets, Youm7 reported at official at the ministry on Thursday.
He added that the ministry is pumping 7 tons of sugar and 1,000 tons of rice daily to meet the people’s needs, following the shortage of rice and sugar caused by merchant monopoly.
The Ministry of Supply has contracted to import a total of 420 tons of sugar that will arrive in Egypt within coming few days.
