As many as 392 Egyptians have entered Egypt from Libya via the Sallum border crossing over the past 24 hours according to a statement by Marsa Matrouh Security chief Mokhtar el Senbary.
Out of all the returnees, 312 Egyptians returned legally, while the remaining 80 have traveled to Libya in illegal ways, Senbary said.
For decades Libya has been a major destination for Egyptian migrant workers due to its once booming oil economy and open borders.
