Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed on Wednesday over the phone with US Secretary of State John Kerry developments in Iraq, Syria, Libya, and efforts in combating terrorism, the Egyptian foreign ministry announced in a statement Thursday.
During the phone call, Shoukry expressed Egypt’s keenness to respect Iraq’s sovereignty and safety, said foreign ministry spokesman Ahmad Abu Zaid.
The two sides also tackled developments in Syria and the outcome of the recent voting in UN Security Council, Abu Zaid added.
