Zaki, Shikabala out of Egypt's squad

 CAIRO--Zamalek duo Shikabala and Amr Zaki were dropped from Egypt's squad for next week's 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.

 friendly match against DR Congo due to a groin problem, and his Zamalek mate Shikabala was named in the DR Congo squad but then pulled out later due to injury.His replacement Walid Soliman kept his place after an impressive performance for Enppi against the White Knights.

    Another star from Enppi to get his first call-up was Ahmed Abdul-Zaher, who scored twice in three games so far for the Cairo club. 

    Harras el-Hodoud star Ahmed Eid was omitted in the wake of his red card in the local league match against Smouha, which cost him a four-match ban.

   While Emad Met'eb expectedly missed out again, Ismaili striker Ahmed Ali earned another call-up after his dream two-goal debut against DR Congo.

Midfielders: Ahmed Hassan, Hossam Ghaly, Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Abou-Treika (Ahly), Amr Al-Sulaya, Ahmed Khairi (Ismaili), Walid Soliman (Enppi), Ahmed Elmohamady (Sunderland). Strikers: Ahmed Abdul-Zaher (Enppi), Geddo (Ahly), Ahmed Ali (Ismaili), Ahmed Mekki (Harras el-Hodoud
