Mubarak is recuperating in Germany from a gallbladder operation, which he underwent on March 6. Mubarak is exopected soon at home. On Friday, official Egyptian tel;evision aired footage of Mubarak talking to Nazif and signing official documents. He also appointed Ahmed el-Tayeeb as the new Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar, Sunni Islam's most influential seat of learning.
