Spokesman of the Coptic Orthodox Church announced that His Holiness Pope Twadros II received today a number of winners of the Sunday Schools Magazine Competition. The winners of the completion belong to various dioceses all over Egypt.

Qus and Naqada Diocese announced in an official statement the discovery of the body of St. Besentaous in his monastery in Naqada. The body was discovered on July 8 in a cemetery located under the main altar of the monastery. The body was found on a stone bed with the name of the saint written in Coptic language.

Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandra and Patriarch of St. Mark See, delivered his weekly sermon at the church of Archangel Michael in Vienna, Austria. Egypt s Ministry of Education announced that all high school students will receive a free tablet as a gift from president Abdul Fattah al-Sisi for the new school system. This came after rumors that each student will have to pay 600 LE to receive the tablet.

Abba Daniel, Bishop of Maadi and General Secretary of the Holy Synod, ordained two new consecrated nuns at the nuns house in the diocese. The new nuns are Sister Demiana and Sister Perpetwa.
