CAIRO: The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy, a Pro-Muslim Brotherhood movement, released a statement Wednesday condemning the violent dispersal of the Shura Council protests on Tuesday, confirming its solidarity with all the detainees.
The statement called on revolutionary powers to rally under the slogan “No for judges’ massacre,” to condemn the arrest of Judge Mahmoud el-Khudeiry, and also called for a million man march next Friday to commemorate the passing of a 100 days since the massacre of Abu Zaabal prison where 37 people suffocated to death in a deportation truck, according to the statement.
The alliance called on political factions to put aside conflicts and unite against the “bloody coup,” as the statement described it, and for the pure revolutionaries to reconcile with the Brotherhood to serve the common revolutionary goal in this critical situation.
