Eye witnesses told Copts United that army troops have raided Sarw village in order to arrest the assailants of Abba Makarious, bishop of Minya, who tried to assassinate him yesterday.
Security sources said that they could name some of the assailants to be arrested soon.
Some fanatics have shot the house of a Coptic Christian called Samir L. Habiel during the visit of the bishop and some priests after a rumor they were celebrating the mass in the house.
It’s worth mentioning that Muslims have besieged the house months later on similar rumor when the owner of the house pledge not to practice Christian ritual in the house.
