For the first time, H.H. Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, has ascended the throne of St. Mark and held his Pastoral Staff in the official enthronement of the new Pope.
ِAbba Pachomious, the acting patriarch, said in his speech after the enthronement of the new Pope that all Bishops will work under the feet of H.H. Pope Tawadros and under his leadership. Then Abba Pachomious has kissed the hands of Pope Tawadros as a sing of submission and respect.
It's worth mentioning that Pope Tawadros is the disciple of His Grace Abba Pachomious, the acting Patriarch, and used to work under his leadership in Behira Diocese.
