Tarek Abul Makarim, head of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) in Beni Suef, told Copts United that a committee was formed in order to investigate the events of Ezbet Marko Tala, and issued a report that condemned preventing Christians from praying at a church, which is one of their basic rights.
He added that the reconciliation meetings was held in the presence of ordinary people and not the Christian leaders, and they have surrendered many of their rights for no good reason.
