Investigation with MB leaders are demanded for inciting against Copts

Egyptian Center for Human Rights called for investigations with Muslim Brotherhood leaders who accused the Copts of being the reason that Shafik has reached the run-off. They also accused the Copts of betraying the revolution and the blood of the martyrs.

The center assured in a statement that church has not supported a certain candidate and Copts have voted for Amr Moussa, Ahmed Shafik, Sabahi, and Abul Fotouh.

It added, it doesn't make sense to describe the Copts as sectarian for they didn't vote for Muslim Brotherhood candidate.

The statement described the announcements of MB leaders as irresponsible and may lead to a sectarian strife. It demanded investigations with them as well as a trial. It stressed that each citizen can elect whoever he likes, and no one should impose his control over the others or trade on religion to achieve his own interests.
