Mursi to meet with Sabbahi, Abul-Fotouh on Monday

Muslim Brotherhood presidential candidate Mohamed Mursi and eliminated rivals Hamdeen Sabbahi and Abdel-Moneim Abul-Fotouh will be holding a meeting to discuss the implications of Saturday's verdict as well as the upcoming runoff round Monday afternoon at 4pm.

Mursi, who came first in the first voting round of the presidential elections held on 23 May, will be facing Mubarak's last premier Ahmed Shafiq in the runoff round, scheduled for 16 and 17 June.

Thousands of protesters who took to Tahrir Square and other main squares in Egypt's major cities Saturday afternoon, following the 'politcal verdict' slapped on Mubarak and fellow defendants, have denounced Shafiq's presence in upcoming presidential elections runoff, as he is largely considered by revolutionaries to be a remnant of Mubarak's regime.
