Tarek Heggy: If I were the president, I would appoint a woman as vice-president

 Dr. Tarek Heggy, the liberal thinker said in his interview with Motaz al-Demerdash on al-Hayat private TV: there is no problem in electing a young man to be the president, however our bureaucracy will hinder him.

Heggy wondered: Why Islamists repeat that the presidential elections will be counterfeit? The president should be a subject to the pluralism and diversity. Islam is part of citizenship and not all of it. If I were the president, I would appoint a woman as vice president, he added.
 
The Supreme Council of Armd Forces has tolerated a lot, and the Parliament members tend to use it to revenge for themselves. Some presidential candidates make nothing but promises, he said.
