The Supreme Committee for the presidential elections announced in a press conference that they had a fair system to verify the documents and data presented by the presidential candidates, by which they had excluded Shafik first and after hearing his appeal the committee decided to cancel the former decision and he was allowed to run for the presidency.
The final list of candidates includes 13 candidates was announced and it includes: Abul Ezz Al Hariri Mohammad Abdul Fatah Fawzi Issa, Ahmed Hossam Kamal, Amr Moussa, Abdel Moneim Abul Fotouh, Hesham Mohamed al-Bastawisi, Mohamed Hossam Eldin Galal, Muhammad Salim Al-Awa, Ahmed Mohamed Shafik, Abdel Atty Hamdeen Sabahi, Abdullah al-Ashaal, Khalid Ali Omar, Mohamed Mursi.
The committee announced that presidential campaigns should start April 30. They also showed the American Passport of Abu Ismail’s mother as well as other documents to prove that she had the America citizenship.
