A hearing session by the Administrative court about the criteria for the constitution committee

Lawyer Jabir Nassar, plaintiffs’ representative of the appeal against the criteria for selecting the founding committee of the Constitution said that the administrative court will consider the appeal which was made by a hundred public figures next Tuesday.

Nassar said that the Supreme Constitutional Court judged in 1995 that the constitution is above the authorities of the state and no authority should have a monopoly on making it; the same applies for the Parliament.
He added in an interview on Al-Jazeera Live satellite channel that the MPs are confused about their mission in the Parliament. On the other hand he believes that the court may strike the Parliament down soon. Nassar hoped that the State Council will make a fair decision, based on the strong reasons and proofs they have.
