Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq to hold trilateral summit in Amman this week

Egypt, Jordan and Iraq are set to hold a trilateral summit in the Jordanian capital of Amman, the Royal Hashemite Court announced.

According to the statement last week, the summit, which will be held for the third time between the three countries, will cover economic, trade and investment cooperation, as well as regional developments.

It will be attended by Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi.

The first trilateral summit was held in Cairo in March 2019, with the second summit held in New York in September of the same year.

The past summits saw an exchange of views between leaders from the three countries on crucial regional issues and common security challenges, as well as means to restore stability in the region.
