The intercession of the angels and their friendship to the human race and their help to mankind is an orthodox doctrine rooted in the Coptic Church.
Father John Naseef, the priest of the Church of Our Lady of Chicago, in his article Intercession of the Angels , tells us about some of Origen s quotations about the intercession of the angels.
The angels are celestial beings who support us for our salvation Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? (Hebrews 1: 14) Angels help the Godly people, supports their struggle and complete all God s blessings upon them. Furthermore, the angels pray with those they guard.
The angels stand beside all those who have devoted themselves to God, to protect them from the devil knowing how mean he is and understanding their hatred against sons of God. Angels rejoice in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
They protect the faithful and praise with them. The angels of the Lord are a bond and help for us in our lives and our spiritual struggle. They pray before God for our salvation. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. (Psalm 34: 7)
