Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox Church lawyer Munsif Naguib Suleiman said that he will sue those who are shooting or producing a documentary film on the life of Late Pope Shenouda III without getting a prior permission from the church, Youm7 reported Saturday.
Any possible ideological or technical errors in a work about the Pope’s life, without the church’s intervention may cause strife and anger among the Coptic People, he added.
Archbishops of the Monastery of Saint Pishoy, where the dead body of Pope Shenouda buried, has produced a documentary film on the Pope’s life although warnings from the Church.
