Young Egyptian inventors arrived home to Cairo after winning seven golden, two silver and one bronze medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, Youm7 reported Wednesday.
Mostafa Agha won a golden medal and a special prize from the United Arab Emirates and Portugal for his research on “seawater desalination and the production of solar-powered electricity.”
Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Tawab won a silver medal and a special prize from the UAE, Portugal and Malaysia for his research on producing anti-shock cars, and Mercedes reportedly is negotiating with him to adopt his invention.
Mohamed Gamal won a silver medal in mechanics; Ahmed Abbas Mohamed won a golden medal and the Dr. Farag Moussa Award in physics for his research on producing electricity from metro train movements.
Ahmed Abdullah won a bronze medal in genetic engineering with his research “smart genes for unlimited silk,” as well as a special prize from King Abdulaziz University and from Portugal.
