Island In The Sun

This is the nick name of Antigua and Barbuda but I’m not going to talk of Antigua or its twine Island Barbuda but another twine Islands existed always close to Egyptian territories and under their control but never belonged to Egypt and suddenly after the Saudi Arabian King visit to Egypt they become of top priority and the main subject in Egypt every one has his own view some based on the historic speech of ex-president Nasser R.I.P. When escalating the Egyptian stance from Israel on 1967 and his desire to close the Akaba Golf on Israeli Navigation which led to the war of June 1967!

Once again the Islands belong to Saudi Arabia never given to Egypt but left under the full control of Egypt in certain circumstances, whomever thinks they are part of Egypt is totally wrong but I’m not going to discuss it but leave it to the authorities that will study and decide this issue, all I can say is this is the results of pure ignorance that covers almost 90% of Egyptians you were lucky enough to finish your university study sheeting of taking by heart then forgetting what you’ve just passed in exams!
Books is not the only thing that technology killed we did stop using the old old telephones we used to see in movies even the ones we used late 70’s were retired using touch screen mobile phones, the old Kodak cameras using a 24 or 36 pictures film were given up when electronic cameras were introduced and even those were set aside when Samsung and iPhone improved their capabilities but does this mean we can not learn or study any more without books?
In fact who wants to learn can find all needed info everywhere, libraries still exist, books on CD’s and DVD even Blue Rays are used to register and better explain subjects like Networking or how to program in different programming languages step by step in a way no teacher would have the patience or means to do it in a class!
Bottom line here is we are missing the proper communications way! When the government gives news in press conferences neglecting internet and people use Facebook as a source of news -real or fake- we can not blame youth they are using social media as a main source of info then who’s fault is it?
When Egyptians lived for years and years surrounded by lies, lies told about the ex King Farouk he was a womanizer, not just a womanizer but a drunk one too and lies were told about ex-president Mohamed Naguib R.I.P. Until R.I.P. Sadat admitted he was a victim but even him -Sadat- lied about the sectarian violence and made it sound like a dispute over some washed clothes that were dripping on so neighbors no to talk of lies officials said here or there I can not blame people who refuse to accept any official declarations suspecting they are usual lies they lived with them so long!
Using this most recent dispute between Egyptians about the Islands is not to end the dispute or to say my point of view but the perfect opportunity to tell Egyptians that change starts from within ourselves if we really want to progress with this country our beloved country to push it towards progress and prosperity we need first of all to change our views or else we remain were we are!
We need st start trusting our president that is the only true Egyptian president we ever had since we lost our true Egyptian King!
My trust in God who blessed Egypt remain as strong as ever I’m sure with God’s blessings Egypt and Egyptians will stand back on their feet towards a better future May the peace of the Lord be with you all!
