Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen, in a phone call, welcomed Pope Tawadros in Jerusalem and offered his sincere condolences in the departure of Abba Abraham, Coptic Bishop of Jerusalem.
In the phone call, Pope refused to visit Ramallah, following the ban decision by the Coptic Orthodox Church for years, unless such visit comes with the Muslim clergy.
For his part, Abu Mazen sent a delegation to attend the funeral of the late Bishop.
