Dakahlia governorate has witnessed the new case of accusing a Coptic young man of contempt of Islamic religion.
The story started as elements of the Muslim Brotherhood gathered around the house of a Coptic young man to attack it accusing him of contempt of Islamic religion after he had shared a video on YouTube that discusses Islamic matters by a Muslim scholar.
Michael Monir, 26 years old, was accused of contempt of Islamic religion, and his house was attacked and a motorcycle belongs to his family was burned. Muslim wise men gathered and prevented the fanatics from attacking the house.
The young man decided to give himself up to the police, but his family couldn’t contact him anymore and don’t know where his is currently detained.
