During his weekly sermon yesterday, Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, thanked the Russian Orthodox Church for her great love shown towards the Coptic Church.
He added that Russian churches don’t usually have chairs inside them and there are many orphanages inside the nunneries.
He said that the two churches discussed the establishment of a Coptic church in Russia.
A book was issued in Arabic and Russian that tells the good relationships between the two sister churches.
Pope added that many Russian people wish to visit the Monastery of Saint Anthony in Egypt as the founder of monasticism all over the world.
