Badie, Shater trial adjourned to April 17

The Cairo Criminal Court adjourned Sunday the trial of Muslim Brotherhood leaders Mohamed Badie, Khairat al-Shater and 15 others leaders on charges of killing protesters outside the Muslim Brotherhood guidance office, and postponed the next hearing to April 17.The Cairo Criminal Court adjourned Sunday the trial of Muslim Brotherhood leaders Mohamed Badie, Khairat al-Shater and 15 others leaders on charges of killing protesters outside the Muslim Brotherhood guidance office, and postponed the next hearing to April 17.

The Brotherhood leaders are accused of killing nine people and injuring 91 others in front of office in March 2013, joining an armed group, and aiming to incite violence.
 
Sunday’s trial began despite the absence of defendants Mohamed el-Beltagy, Essam el-Erian, and Ayman Abdel el-Raouf, all of whom are also on trial regarding protestor deaths at the Ithadeya presidential palace in December 2012.
