Cairo Criminal Court suspends Morsi’s trial in the case of killing the demonstrators

Cairo Criminal Court decided to suspend the trial of ousted President Mohamed Morsi and a number of Muslim Brotherhood leaders in the accusation of inciting violence during the clashes at the Ithadeya presidential palace.Cairo Criminal Court decided to suspend the trial of ousted President Mohamed Morsi and a number of Muslim Brotherhood leaders in the accusation of inciting violence during the clashes at the Ithadeya presidential palace.

The decision was taken to consider the request submitted by the defendants to refer the case to another circuit.
 
The court also decided to refer the documents of the case to Cairo’s Court of Appeal and to resume the imprisonment of the defendants.
 
Leading member of the Brotherhood Essam Al-Erian signed a request to refer the case to another circuit before his trial session on Thursday. A judicial source said the Court of Appeal is scheduled to consider the request on March 15.
