Amr Moussa: We should hold the parliamentary elections before the presidential

Amr Moussa, chairman of the Committee of 50, stated that he prefers holding the parliamentary elections before the presidential so as to end the transitional period before the end of July.

“The way to get out of the crisis in Egypt is to vote for the Constitution,” he said in a video conference with Egyptian expatriates.

He also said Egypt needs mechanism for the Egyptian expatriates to be represented in parliament.

“Mismanagement of things lead to a poverty rate of over 50 percent,” he said.

Minister of Manpower and Immigration Kamal Abu Eita said the new constitution caters for the needs of Egyptian expatriates in articles 6, 26 and 88 on freedom of immigration.

Essam Abdel Samad, head of the Union of Egyptians in Europe, announced an initiative to treat the victims of Mansoura on the expenses of Egyptians abroad.
